Why “what level for permanent residence” has no single answer

This is the most-asked question in the space and the one most often answered wrongly, because the honest answer is unsatisfying and a wrong number reads as more helpful.

Permanent residence in Cyprus is not one procedure. It is several categories with different bases, and the language requirement is not uniform across them. Two practical consequences:

• A number you found on a forum is evidence of that person’s category, not of yours. They may well have been right about their own file.

The trap at registration: two different A2s

The level is not the hard part
